At the start of 2012 I photographed a wedding of a guy I used to work with a number of year ago. It was great catching up and a priviledge to be asked to photograph his wedding.

First Things First - This Is About You

Steven Case – Landscape, Product and Wedding Photography based in Littlehampton, Sussex.

Sussex Wedding photographer based in Littlehampton. The best wedding photography is not just about telling a story of the most special day of your lives. It’s about capturing the history, the emotions, the relationships and the future, to build a bigger story. That’s why my wedding photography focuses on capturing timeless images for you to treasure forever long into the future.

There are a lot of wedding photographers these days that direct to their client the way that they will photograph your day. This is all well and good, but what about the special people, special ideas, unique moments that you’re already picturing yourself? My style with my clients is to have a very open brief with them and to make sure that they understand that I’m there for them, for their day, not the other way around. Within reason, I will do whatever it is that you would expect from a professional wedding photographer.

My aim is to make you feel as comfortable as possible with what I will do on the day before it happens. This way, that’s one more thing that you don’t have to worry about on the day. A step towards making you feel comfortable is to meet for a free consultation session before the wedding day to discuss your ideas and requests to make sure that I cover them. Most often this will be at least twice.

Another way to get you relaxed, comfortable and used to my photography style is the option of a pre-wedding portrait session. You pick a location, I bring the camera, and we try a few poses to build an engagement album which can either be separate or incorporated into your wedding album. This way you will see what your images could look like before your special day happens.

How I Work

On the day itself I photograph the story of the day as it unfolds, taking into account as much detail as possible. If required I can be there as early as the beginning of the bridal preparations. This allows me to cover the excitement, nerves and detailed shots of the bride before the main events.

During the key moments, I step back and allow your ceremony to take place, taking pictures from a distance. This approach to wedding photography results in pictures which are natural and engaging and brings you straight back into your day when you look over them again in the years to come.

I have found that most couples would like the traditional family group shot to be taken, so I make sure that during the planning sessions, that we allow time for every group combination that you can think of. However, I try to keep this time to a minimum to allow you to get on with your day.

Finally we get to the speeches, wedding breakfast and reception. Some of the funniest photos happen in this part of the day, so I can be around to capture them. I’m happy to stay as long as you would like me to.

There are several wedding album options and sets available. The most popular are featured on my prices page. However, full details can be discussed on a no obligation free consultation session.

I cover all parts of Essex, London, and Sussex
